Tasting – Oskar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale

Posted on 01.31.08 5:30PM under Canned Beer, Tasting

Welcome to my first ever video tasting! I did Oskar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale. For those not interested in videos, the short version: This beer is great! On the darker side of pale, with an assertive hops nose. The hops show up big time in bitterness and flavor, too. But at the same time, they aren’t oppressive, and are balanced by malts. Just great all around. My favorite of the three I got from Oskar Blues. Old Chub is good but a bit flabby somehow, and Gordon is awesome but wicked expensive.

I have to figure out how to adjust the video quality used on my video camera for recording to the SD Card, but you gotta start somewhere!

Wow, a canned beer that looks like it’s got some real body. You don’t see that every day. BTW, it’s nice to see that you’re growing your hair long again. It’s been too long since the last time the world saw the real Keith. Almost makes me want to grow mine back… if only it would :(

I did figure out how to improve the picture quality, too. Next time you’ll be able to read the label on the can.
